Fried onion is prepared by processing the onion in a factory. The onion is selected from the lots at the mandi and taken to the factory where it is peeled, washed, chopped and dehydrated using machines. The process is completely automated without any human intervention, Once the onion is dehydrated and all impurities such as dirt, skin etc. are eliminated it is fried in a huge Industrial fryer. The fried onion is then transferred into a centrifuge machine that drains out excess of oil from the onion leaving only 8% to 10 % oil. Then the onion is placed on tables to cool and then packed into pouches of 500 grams to 5kgs.
